Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality

Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods

Goals/Objectives Of Position

Construction Managers plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the activities of a construction company, or a
construction department within a company, under the direction of a general manager or another senior manager.

Knowledge/Skills Required

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Good negotiation, prospecting, and problem-solving skills
Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Analytical and a creative thinker.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs.
Ability to work in a team.
Advanced project-management skills.
Knowledge of construction costs and time frames.
